Red face Interior Thoughts?

I recently bought a 99 C2 and I have pretty much completed the exterior look of the car with New 19" Wheels, Evo Front Bumper, GT2 Rockers and Wing, Turbo Rear Bumper and Clear Lights. My next task is to dress up the interior which I purchased a Pioneer Double Din Nav. Unit but I am thinking of Stainless Steel Accents, Carbon Fiber or Wood. What are your thoughts and pics?

No offense meant, but couldn't you have bought a 2002 with the cash you have put out and are about to put out for mods? Or was the goal to underspend on the car and put serious dollars into the mods?

I guess this is a general discussion point about modding. Some people max out on the best/youngest/lowest mileage/best condition car. Some get the car and spend all subsequent available dollars on personalizing it.

Post pics of your exterior!

I had a few pieces painted at my local shop to match the silver- I wanted CF but way too expensive...plus silver came out well and was way cheap!!

The guy just wants to mod his car why bust his *****. I have an 02' x50 and I keep it stock an all anyone says to me is why don't you mod it. It's about all about personal preference.

That's funny, that's exactly what my wife says! I just bought the car for $18k with 72k miles and for me to find one in the midwest would cost $24k. I figured I would spend 8k and have the car look exactly like I want. I won't have pics up till Monday as it is at the body shop as we speak. So any thoughts on interior changes?

What color is the interior? I'd go CF but that can get hefty. 2nd choice would be painting the interior silver/alum.

Wood is out of the question on these type of cars. CF would be great but expensive. Stainless steel.....uhhh.....I don't think it exists and if you get those stick-on kits, they're too tacky. Most of the guys here paint interior parts to get what they want. Looks great and one of the least expensive ways. I went with silver on mine. You can search and you'll find my interior thread with pics. I am actually thinking of going a bit further by going with silver/CF combination.

I have to agree with the silver painted parts on the interior. It's the cheapest route and lots of great contrast. I assume the int is black? The center console painted silver is very sharp. Lots of pics available on this site.

I didn’t even think of painting the interior console and trim pieces. I might as well take advantage of it being in the body shop. If I change the all the interiors lights to LED do I need any type of resisters? I think the last time I checked the boards they said many have built in resisters.

I had wood in my 2000 996 and belive it or not it looked good I got alot of compliments. That being said I would not get it again makes the car harder to sell and is more suited to a less sporty car.
