How important are service records if the PPI is clean?
How important are service records if the PPI is clean?
I've found what I think is a good deal on a '99 C2. The guy purchased the car in 2006 and has all of the records since then. (He works at a dealership, all the service done there) If the PPI passes, how big of a problem is it that theres no service record for the first 7 years of the car's life? I figured carfax should have the history, but its not free online
Milage is 47000. He got it at 32k and has the 45k record, as well as a few other replacements. Says that hes selling to get a 997. Pardon my ignorance, but wouldnt carfax have some sort of records of previous maintenance? Then i could just contact the shop that did the work to see what was done
I just purchased a 99 cab, with 48,000 miles, the car fax only shows ownership and accident history, and the miles that the vehicle had at the time of change.
I would think the porshe dealership would have records of anything done by a certified dealer?
