New to Forum. Is my Car too good to be true?

Hi everyone. I've been reading all your posts for a few weeks and am really learning alot. I just bought my first Porsche. My dream car since I was a teenager. Anyway, at the advise of a friend who has worked for PCNA, he recommended opening my search to the whole country, not just locally (long Island, NY). I did, and within 2 weeks, the "perfect" car showed up in a dealer in Pennsylvania.

Make a long story short -

2004 C4S cabrio
52,000 miles
Most service records, except for a 2 year interval including 14000 miles in the cars 3rd year - so everything for the last 3 years
Lapis Blue/graphite gray

Full leather
Sport exhaust
6MT with carbon fiber shifter (aftermarket it seems)
new tires and almost new brakes
aluminum sill/trim pieces

And a CPO warranty for 2 years

Paid 41,000

This car is about 10,000 less than any comparable car I was seeing in the NY area, so I dont know if it is truly a steal, or just a fair price for a non-NYC market.

Pics will follow soon!!!

Thanks for any input or guidance. I look forward to chatting with you all soon!!

Jon

Sounds about right. The CPO warranty is the clincher!

Thanks guys. Im soooo happy with it. Just looking into slightly modding it.

I got the car about 3 weeks ago, and the dealer just sent me new mats, because he noticed the old ones were worn. Didnt ask for them, he just thought it would be nice.

Auto Palace in Pittsburgh!!! You rock

Talking Pics!!!

Ok some weird developments.

Looked for the listing from the dealer to try to at least get some pics up. The listing is removed - no problem. But the car was listed in South Carolina apparently (same VIN) for 39,000!!!! I ended up paying 41,000 and I can tell that tires, brakes, oil + filter were done, plus a CPO warranty so I cant complain. But still - takes abit of the wind out of my sales.

Here is the link to the SC listing.

http://www.luxurycarsofcharleston.co...1/1865841.html

I will take my own pics and post soon, as these are not so great!!

Will do!!!

Looked closer at the SC place and it was an auction for wholesalers only. Strange because most of the records for the car were for service in one of the two Pittsburgh dealers.

Anyway, its mine now
