Climate Control has me Nuts!!

I know I have seen a post on this but for the life of me I can’t find it anymore. I am having issues when I turn off my A/C before turning the car off, when I turn the car back on the A/C is turned on. Why won’t it remember that it was turned off?

Interesting. My 997.1 has a memory setting for the A/C matched to the key. It always turns on to what i programmed into the specific key. I don't know about the 996, but maybe its the same.

trelomialo is infamous around these parts

my carrera A/C always goes on when i start the car. and my bmw does it. its a program feature that the dealer may have to adjust.

You have to turn the fan blower all the way down to turn the system off and stay off.

When you turn off the car lower the fan speed all the way down until it shows OFF. When you start the car it comes back on all by itself on low speed.
