Misha Wing Review **Pics
So now that I can finally post again - just wanted to drop a few lines and pics in regards to Misha's GT2 Wing for the 996.
When I started modifying my 996 I was VERY hesitant to do anything to the body itself. I wanted to keep the classic "911" silhouette and was deterred from doing any "bodywork". After half of year of seeing some great kits on this board as well as attending some of the gatherings, I decided to start searching for a wing. I definitely didn't want something overpowering (afterall, I have the "narrowbody") but I definitely wanted to give the car a more aggressive look. After some research, I narrowed my decision down to the Ruf C2 Wing and the Misha 996 GT2 Wing. During this time I saw a bunch of posts on the Misha wing so I decided to take the plunge.
First off, Misha's customer service is excellent. I was in the LA area (I live in OC) and asked to take a look at the wing prior to purchase. Misha and I metup at local Starbucks and he gave me a brief intro on his company and product. As far as fiberglass parts go, I was hesitant from the getgo, but after seeing the piece in person - all concerns were erased. I've modified 9 cars now in my lifetime (some with fiberglass parts, some with GFK [a composite]) and there are always concerns whenever dealing with aeroparts made of fiberglass. (Just take a look at the next Civic you see with a fake veilside bumper on the freeway at 75 MPH). The wing consists of 2 main parts: (1) the wing blade (2) the pedestal. The pieces come apart for paint and minor adjustment.
Paint/Labor:
The bodyshop that painted and installed my wing is the same place I've been going to now for 5 years - they've worked on Ferrari's, BMW's, Mercedes, etc...in particular, he's done a lot of Hamann, AC Schnitzer and TechArt body installs so I hit him up about the quality of the Misha wing as far as fiberglass parts go. He said it was definitely on par with the stuff he's seen from the popular "tuners" - and even better than a few! (Hats off to Misha for good fabrication). All parts needed for installation are included, I opted to add "grates" to the two intakes to ensure that no large foreign objects get sucked in at speed. LOL.
Overall Impressions:
I'm very happy with this wing. In particular, I love looking at the side mirrors and seeing the edges of the blade come down...I didn't notice any rattling or movement at speed and I'd definitely recommend it to those looking for a rear spoiler...
For what it's worth, I'm not sponsored by Misha nor did he pay for this review, just some insight to a good product and my experience that I wanted to share w/fellow 6speeders...

now time for suspension.
Actually, I'm sincerely thinking of getting the PSS9's...(Arling/Tom - you guys booked?) - we'll see once I do my taxes LOL.
Then again, now that Joe has a turbo he's ruined my fun. I want a turbo now!
We'll see, in the meantime I'm going to have some fun with the Scion..hahaha.
Did Misha get you the grates? If not, where did you get them, I'd like to add them to mine as well.
Chris
BTW, I'll be posting track evaluations of the wing this spring.

I really like that GT2 wing. Do you think it would look weird on my car, since it is so low, and the wing is so tall?
Misha's GT2 wing is not overpowering at all, at least on my car(C4S). However, I can see where some might think that regarding a narrowbody car. Misha also makes a nice GT3 style as well that may be better suited for some narrowbodies, although bumble's pulls it off.
