That's correct. I did not need to remove the wheel well liners or the wheels. Jacking up the front made it easier but not necessary. And btw, now that you have decided to take the front off, I'd suggest going the extra step and cleaning the radiators. Gently use a power washer - you'll be amazed at how much grime you get out of those things.
