OK, i guess i wasnt patient enough for a response. SO I TOOK THE PLUNGE.

I FOUND A GREAT DEAL ON Pirelli PZERO ROSSO 305/25r19 a set of 2 shipped for $349 so i just bought one set and there are only 3 sets left. so i'll share the link. I know for some its been hard to find these and many dont wana pay the 500+ dollars each for them.

Cool

It is a shorter diameter. Your speedo will read approx 2.8 mph fast.

Did you ask the vendor for the DOT manuf dates?

I found a great deal on ebay a while back that was new old stock.

The manuf dates were early 2002!

No 8 yr old rubber for me.

JFYI

fyi.... 305/25-19 are just fine. Only prob with 305 is that a lot of manufacturers stopped making them and what is out there is old stock.... still the size is fine with less that 2% error....

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
235/35-19 3.2in 12.7in 25.5in 80.0in 792 0.0%
305/25-19 3.0in 12.5in 25.0in 78.6in 807 -1.9%

can a new "old stock" tire realy go bad with out exposure to the elements of moisture, uv, and heat??

Rubber hardens as it ages - without exposure to the elements. So, a set of NOS tires may result in extended tire life, that *probably* wasn't the overall intent ;-)

Just keep a close watch on them if you use them. First thing you might notice is cracks forming in the sidewalls. But I wouldn't worry too much about it until then...

285/30R19 is prob a little too tall to start with. 305/25R19 is closer to the OE specs. I use the exact same Pirelli and they have been great.
