I'm thinking of cat-bypass or test pipes. Anyone have any info on O2 simulators?

I definitely don't want CEL on my gauge. I want a cat delete bypass plus muffler bypass. Yes I want loud. Thanks guys!

I've been running fabspeed x-pipe cat delete on my 2002 C2 with no issues with CEL and I didn't put and O2 simulators on. Save your money and see how your car reacts first.

So you're saying that if I put the cat bypass/delete it won't necessarily throw a CEL code? That's all I'm worried about...the CEL

Yup. No CEL (no check engine light) over 1500 miles on it also.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Nine Eleven, I have them in stock and ready to ship. They are a direct replacement for the stock cats. We include new hardware and copper gaskets with it also. We have extenders for the O2 sensors, so if the light comes on down the road, you can always put them on. The X Pipe catbypass pipe is $550 and I will do it for $525 as a 6speed member discount. Give me a call at 215-646-4945 or PM with your information and I will get shipped out for you.
Thanks,

I also checked out Pelican parts they have another Fabspeed cat bypass but it isn't the X pipes like the picture you showed. The part number is FAB 996 CB. The pipes aren't welded together... My question is.... Is there a difference between these two or is it one is a newer style x pipe that's welded together?

This is the link for a different FABSPEED cat bypass

Here is the picture (top oem, below fabspeed cat bypass)

Hi Nine Eleven, yes the X Pipe is our newest design that makes more power and a better sound, but they will perform the same function.
Thanks,

i have one of mine with the x-pipe style. cant post videos on here though. sounds is nice. Good idle tone - doesn't drone on highway, pretty quiet until you go WOT then you hear it.

Alex @ Fabspeed - which of the two systems is better on the low end? I know removing cats takes a lot under 3500RPM - is one better than the other down low? If not what do you suggest to bring some of that back?

I can vouch for the Fabspeed x-pipe. I just installed mine last week and I'm really pleased with the sound and can feel some performance improvement. Also shaving that weight that's hanging from the furthest point at the back of the car is an added bonus. Surprisingly, it didn't even make the car that much louder (I still have mufflers). I also want to mention that I placed my order over the phone and had the product at my doorstep in under 24 hours! And I'm in Canada! I've never had such quick shipping in all my years of making purchases online. I'm a very happy Fabspeed customer.

I only wish I had mentioned 6speed to get the discount. Also, my kit didn't include the copper gasket. Alex, is that missing from my kit? If so, can you send me a set?

- Carlo

Hey Guys, yes we include copper gaskets with them but we may have been out of stock, so the factory ones will work fine. PM me if you didn't get the gaskets and need them. I will send them right away, just make sure to include your information. The Catbypass pipes make a nice power increase the top end but loose some down low, thats why we recommend them for track use. So the Sport cats are a better way to go for an overall increase throughout the RPM Range. I dont have a sound clip of just the catbypass pipe with the stock mufflers but I have heard it sounds good. Let me know if you have any questions
