New Month...another 6Speed Newbie
I figured after a few months of lurking about 6Speed, learning from y'all, it was time to fess up, join and contribute.
I've had my '02 C2 Cab for not quite a year, used mostly for weekend blasts and long-distance road trips (I've racked up 7K miles since I bought the car, nearly all of it "top down"). While it's a blast as-is, I'm starting to stick my toes into the "personalization" waters. I look forward to sharing my experiences as they occur, and for any advice as my heart/mind/wallet go down that path.
The top of the list now is upgraded suspension and exhaust cans...the orange ugly things on the side of the car are already gone

So what are thinking for the suspension? And cans?
I'm bias on the X74 suspension. It lowered the car 40mm (1 3/4") and the handling is just fantastic. I do about 4 DE's a year and made a world of difference with body lean (there is none now).
You could go with the Fabspeed but pricey or have you looked at the FisterD? You send them your cans and they modify them for about $200 by adding a pipe to the can. Some guys even buy the ss pipe and take it to a welding shop. The sound is great...no real HP gains. Something else that gives a good sound on acceleration is a 'cold air return' kit.
So whatcha thinkin'?

Thanks all for the warm welcome. I'll post some decent pics on the pics thread once the weather clears up (4" of rain today, yuck...almost made me glad it was a work day).
Pete: as for mods, here are my current thoughts:
Suspension: M030 RoW with Agency Power rear control arms to get real adjustability on rear camber (the stock widgets just don't cut it, and I already have problems with high tire wear on the inside rears). The M030 RoW seems to solve most of the stock US setup's vagueness without major drawbacks due to being super-low.
Exhaust: I want the car to breathe better as well as sound better, so Fabspeed Maxflows or perhaps even their Supercups. Thoughts?
Intakes: yeah, I've been playing around with those in my head, again more so for intake efficiency/power than just sound. The K&N intake's price sure is attractive--about 1/2 that of anything else, and K&N's reputation is pretty good.
That starter list of mods will keep me in Wifey's doghouse for (another?) good many months.

Join the club! For the exhaust....a lot of cans sound good. Just don't do the straight pipes. Way too loud. Its great you want to make the car specific to you.
