245s on front?

been searching around, not much luck

im planning to buy a set of used 245/35/18 and 285/30/18 hoosiers r6

its going to be mounted on the stock 996 18" 5 spoke

ive heard from people that 245s wont rub, but others said it will
i have h&r springs on with stock shocks

edit: forgot to add, i run 235/35/19 on my street rims (works brombacher) with no rubbing issues

245/35/18 and 285/30/18 appears to be a good staggered combo. Rubbing issues tend to appear with aftermarket offsets. OEM is 52mm?? upfront. The rule of thumb is not to exceed +5mm of OEM. The wider section width of 245 will only add less than 5mm/2 = less than 2.5mm. With that said, you should be fine with a OEM rim. You should also be fine at the rear. Rear specs are more forgiving. FYI, I am currently running 245/35/19; offset 52mm upfront with no rubbing issues. Good luck.

I have run that Hoosier combo on my '99 C4. Sweet!
No issues.
I have H&R sways f+r and pss10 lowered to GT3 height.
18" Oem wheels - both 5 spoke and sportclassic ii. (8 and 10 inch)

If you have 15mm spacers, it will rub.

245s can fit. Depending on your setup and offsets you might rub under full lock. FWIW, I ran 245 [35 and 40] R6s on my 996 for years...

Not sure if this helps you but I went with 235/40/18 on front and 295/30/18 on rear on my 40th Anniversary Edition with NO rubbing on stock rims. Fronts look like 245 would have caused no problem lots of room still left.

what brand tires are you using? 295/30-18 on 10" wheel? sound like a nice setup.

I went with Hankook V12's and love them on street.
Plus the price was pretty good too
