Here are is a pic of the 997 GT3 Shift **** that I purchased from Carnewal for my 996. I really like the feel and the looks. I had to do a little bit of modification to make it fit perfectly but it was easy. Also, the amount of leather that comes on the boot is a bit too much, hence why it is a little bunched up.

Nicely done - what mods were required to make it fit right?

 

I had to dremmel a small amount so that it fit correctly. for some reason, the **** would not go all of the way down and I needed to make a little bit of room inside the ****. It was very little.

Would this fit a 986S? Should be the same aren't they?

 

Is it the same height as stock or shorter?

 

Looks great and I didn't know that the 997 shifter would fit on a 996. Was there anything in particular that you had to do to install?

 

The **** itself fits, the boot however doesnt. (The 997 gt3 boot).

 

Wow , jax996 this is exactly what I've been looking for for my 02 c4. Problem is the 997 boot is diff size. So how'd u do it ? Bought the 997 alcanatara boot from carnewal and restitched to your stock 996 boot??

Any help cause this is the best **** period!!!!
