gu9ci There have been a few times I put off on other things just so I can get toys for the Porsche. I need to calm down now. I have a long list going of parts. I think I can live with what I have for a while lol.

I'd sell my mom for a new Porsche part lol jk!

I have been a porsche fan, Pretty much since the age of time. Always have and always will be. I look foward to having my second 911 in the future. As funds came limited on my first one i had to get rid of it. I have to say as of this point as we speak. Im envious to the 997 TT. Look foward to many more discussions.

1. can you post some pictures? inside and out! then we can provide insightful help.

i would suggest you think about getting to some Drivers' Education events to see how the car responds at speed. Then, you will have a better idea where to take it.

i always suggest GT3 delete which removes the center console and while you are doing that, you can install a short shifter kit which makes shifting more precise.

the next big modification, is to got to coilover shocks, lowering and stiffing the ride.

it seems power is very expensive, and not all that effective in the NA cars.

bottom line, the car was made to drive, so drive it. and you will grow into it.

welcome and enjoy

JB

I would suggest you do a porsche club driving event like a skills day or DE before getting a turbo. Im sure the car dosnt feel like it has tons of power, but the key with these cars is knowing what they are capable of and how to drive them, I thought I was a good driver until I signed up for a track event... wow... believe me, you probably cant drive the car even close to the limits. I cant, and I think im a pretty good driver.
just my .02$

I would look into a Sprint Booster. It is a small electronic part that simply goes in the wire that that goes from your gas pedal to the computer. It is easily connected under the dash just around the steering column. It makes the e-gas more responsive and has several settings. I have been told it is the same concept that the 997 uses in their "Chrono/sport" system. I could noticeably feel the difference in the response to the gas pedal after I installed the device. It cost around $325. Best mod I have done....period.

+1 to that. these cars become completely different animals at >5k. and you cant get there on the street.

When I said I need more power, I didn’t mean I am capable of using the most potential of my car has to offer, and on the other hand, I am done going on a track just for fun, also believe it or not, I had discussed this very subject with many guys, but it was about the bikes, I try to understand why some guys have to buy liter bike, when even they cant get the 600cc to its limit, but remember bikes are very different than cars, acceleration on 600 and up, stock, is very close to higher ccs, if you are in a group mixed of different bikes and they open it up, you are not going to stay behind if you are riding a 600cc, of course I am not talking about top end, and that is what I am most interested, acceleration, whereas from stop, some cars can leave behind some other cars like they were statues.
When I mentioned I might get a turbo, it was mostly cosmetic wise, now that I have became a Porsche fan, I look at them closely and I like how the turbo looks and it comes already with all I like on my car, like vents, bumpers, spoilers and the rest, and on top of that one of the best accelerations, it might not be the best, but nonetheless its very impressive.
I don’t do street racing, track, at least with cars, I just love the feel a powerful car gives you.
