Leans to the left

I noticed that one of my exhaust tips is off center. It leans inward or to the left. It is a millimeter away from the bumper exhaust cut out. So far, no burnt paint. Would the fix be a matter of adjustment via nut/bolt or is my complete muffler out of alignment?

there is one long bolt/clamp assembly that holds the tip pipe in place..there is also a single bolt that holds the tip on the pipe...unless the tip is loose from the pipe you should use the bolt/clamp assembly to adjust the angle...it sounds like your clamp is loose and you may be able to just move it back and then tighten the bolt...depending on who has worked on the car the bolt on the clamp may not be where you can reach it...in that case you might have to drop the muffler (the tip will come out with it)...just loosen the clamp from the catalytic converter and then there are three 13 mm nuts on the bracket that holds the muffler in place (they face toward the motor)...when you know what to do it's about a 10 minute job

Yeah, I agree. It should be pretty simple. There's really no way for the muffler itself to be crooked (assuming it hasn't been damaged by a rear collision, or something like that).

Thank you GT3 Chuck. I took a look this morning, and saw the long bolt that you mentioned. I deduced that would be the remedy. I'll jump on it as soon as the weather clears up. Quick question: Is the bolt or nut 13mm as well?

Piece of cake. Loosen the bolt (16mm; I had every mm but a 16mm; So I used a 17mm). Yanked it into place, and viola!!. She's blowing straight.
