Score!!!!! Today is my lucky day!!!!

Earlier today I snagged this set of GT3 coilovers for less than $500:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130473696334&ssPageNam e=STRK:MEWAX:IT

And tonight I got this OEM MK1 Aero bumper cover for less than $500:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110636180677&ssPageNam e=STRK:MEWNX:IT

I bought my 99 C2 one month ago, and the second owner put on an after market MK1 GT3 wing, and the sideskirts (perfect fitment), but no aero front bumper. I looked around for the last month and had no luck finding a used one, and didn't want to shell out $2k+ for a new one. I thought about ordering an MA Shaw replica bumper, and actually had my order placed, but they were backed up with holiday orders and it was taking too long so I canceled last week. I just happened to check Ebay today and lo and behold I find a used Aero kit bumper for less than $500 shipped to my door. It does need to be prepped, but the cost savings still makes it well worth it. I was willing to spend $1k+ on a used one, so this was a major score.......

Finally my car will be complete....... Can't wait.......

Were you the other bidder? I was shocked when there was 30 seconds left and there were no bids. I swore I was going to get them for $300 + shipping.....

It looks like I am going to need some other parts to make them complete. Time to start digging around....... Would you happen to know what they need? I threw up a post in the GT3 forum and am waiting for a reply. If it's more trouble than it's worth (for me), I might unload them at cost + shipping. My intention was to have these installed for as little money as possible. I'll throw in another $500 or so if I need to, but not a penny more...... I'll see how much my I can stomach..... I'll let you know if I decide to abandon the coilover project. My intention was to spend as LITTLE money on this car as possible. I was only supposed to buy the aero front bumper; and so far I've put on: led tail lights, new shift ****, 3 spoke steering wheel, smoke corners, smoked led, new exhaust, cat bypass, aluminum pedals, aluminum gauge rings, and some other small items. After I put the aero bumper and the suspension on I will put a cover on the car and end this for a while.......

Gosh, I'm kind of regretting selling my SC430 now hehe..... I miss having a car that had no aftermarket parts......

Should be plug and play, especially if you got the upper mounts. You might need new drop links, but those are like $20 each.

There are a number of huge write-ups on Rennlist regarding this upgrade. THere might be one or more here, but a search will confirm.

Unfortunately not the case. The OP will need sway bar mount collars for the rear at the very least. The fronts, he can use the existing non-GT3 sway bar mount location at the pinch bolt. But the rears, he will need the GT-3 sway bar mount collars which are not sold separately(ask me how I know). You might have to wait around for a pair to appear on the used market or someone that crashed their car. So the rears are useless for now until you can get that part or have one machined. See below for pic.

Yup you've got it. I need to find a set of the mounts. I believe Arlen Motorsports makes an aftermarket set. I just may be in luck.......

Unfortunatley, they are no longer in business and quit making them awhile ago.

They are if you have all the parts. The OP would only need the sway bar mount collars as mentioned. If OP wants to use GT3 bars, then he would need the proper endlinks as well. If OP wanted to have the same suspension geometry then he would also need the lower control arms and associated rear toe link accessories.

Well, I have read otherwise from people who have done it on their C2's........ It just so happens that I bought a set of struts that were missing a crucial component...... I didn't think a stupid bracket would be this hard to source lol.....

Well, after calling around and browsing through the forums it looks like I got lucky and found someone who makes the rear brackets (Chase Motorsports). I found them for $250 pair......

Hey alpine003, you mentioned above that I could use the same mounting point in the front, and that I don't need the new bracket? Are you running your car like this?
