Good catch. But yeah, nothing wrong with asking questions.

However, my 2004 40th AE has the ribbed but has the silver head washer and is HID. The ribbed ones in the picture appear to have no washer system? Also, never seen the plain mirrored ones without the ribs.
The Mirrored ones come on 996 Turbo's and GT2's, if you see any Turbo or GT2 is has the Mirror Headlights

One pictured above that has no Washer is a Plain Halogen Headlight no Xenon... Washing System was Standard on Litronics (Xenon)

Zookie are the 99-01 and 02-04 headlights the same wiring (litronics) so if you were to do the face lift 02' front end conversion, do yo need the wiring for 02'?

Hey Guys,

I'm a new porsche owner of a 2002 c2. My car used to have the ribbed headlights from picture 1. However, I recently changed mine to #2 clear mirrored headlights and realised when I started the car both did not auto level like my original ones. Any idea why this is happening? I'm still trying to understand how the auto levelling works. Apparently there is a sensor that is located at the front and read suspension area.

I'm not sure what the issue is whether the mirrored headlights (#2 picture) is does not have that feature or maybe the guy that installed it didn't wire it correctly. I don't know.

Say if the headlight did not have the auto level capability....would I be able to use the motor from the old headlights and installed them onto the mirrored one? Sorry if this is a dumb question...just a thought.

Thanks Guys
H

I'm not sure if I understand the value of the "auto-leveling" thing. What if you start your car while on a steep incline - does that mean the lights won't be pointing up the hill or does the car take the initial incline into account?
