alignment done... Is this right?
2000 c4 (millennium), DD 13 to 14k miles a year, row suspension, prior owner installed H&R...
so last week i had to replace the front springs (rust at the bottom), after a few days i take it to a reputable shop.
front : -1.12 / -1.3 camber 1/16 toe(both sides)
rear : -2.2 / -2.3 camber 1/32 toe ( both sides)
they said they could not go under -2.3 IS THAT RIGHT?? I know the springs makes the car more negative, but that seems a lot...
Car drives on rails, i know it will give the rear tires some ware (we do drive porsches) i will probably swap sides on the rears one a year

2) 1/32 toe-in in the rear also appears to be out of Porsche spec. I think Porsche recommends more toe-in in the rear, somewhere between 5'-15' per side. I think around 10-15' is more typical. [1/32 is around 6']. IIRC, total toe should be around 25' or so. 1/32 per side is around 12' total - or 1/2 of Porsche spec.
3) It's not the springs per se that change the negative camber, its the way that lowering the car changes the geometry of the suspension. You would have the same type of effect if you had an adjustable ride height and lowered the car.
4) -2.3 camber in the rear OK. I've run more than that for years. It's not going to result in much more inside tire wear than than your toe-in will. Just get some high treadwear tires and you'll be fine.
Is your shop a Porsche shop?
Can you post your complete alignment specs?

Why would you change springs for rust? This is a street car right? Don't really remember but the turbo (also all wheel drive) is 0 camber and .02 toe in in the front. As you lower the car it is very hard to set the rears with out using dog bones and gt3rs toe arms.
TD,
i just uploaded the sheet in the first post, like i said the guy is reputable and said it would be an aggressive street, Just wondering if i should bring it back to tone it down a bit... Thanks for the responses..

I had an 02 C2 with PSS9's and it would not do better then -2.3 in the rears. I ran the ps2's for the harder inner compound and still would burn though the tires. Get the dog bones and toe links. Your tires will thank you. Plus you will never know the difference on the street. Just my .02 cents.

If you are running directional tires swapping side to side will not help you, my man. It's still the inside of the tire
