I noticed that too arling. The female service writer at Newport Porsche named Cookie is not very knowledgable, however the one at Walter's in Riverside was very detailed in response to my questions.

i'm not doubting their knowledge especailly we have Robyn onboard here. just think it's very interesting that's total 7 LA dealers (the ones i know) got at least one female service writer. is this new trend?

wow, so let's see to sum it all up...

we should all stay away from McKenna, Rusnak, and Newport.
And possibly be cautious with Circle and Pacific.

Pioneer and Walter's (which are pretty far from us P owners in the Los Angeles metro area) are good.

geesh...

Porsche North America, I hope you are reading this and make some changes. This is ridiculous that you have so many customers that are unhappy with the service provided by local dealers!

If anyone else has any recommendation, especially local so cal dealers with the cheapest price for oil changes and 30k services, please chime in.

I either take my car to Downtown Porsche or Walters with Angie... She is awesome with call backs and updates.. I shoped all the local dealer for my 30k service and walters saved me $300 from the other dealers I inquired.

From what was explained to me by Mckenna the savings is due to the fact that walters does now perform the spark plug change.

So far the dealers I suggest are #1 Walters, and DT and Mckenna equally fair... ..

my experience was completely different. after recently buying my car i noticed that in1st gear it got stuck. i called my salesman and the short of it was, i had a new clutch in a 20k mile car to remedy the problem: mildly warped pressure plate that was off spec. this was done under warranty. no hassles, no sucking up, just a pleasant experience. i guess things are variable.

My experience with Newport was HELL (thanks to Don). What's wrong with this picture - where OC/LA County Porsche owners have to commute to Riverside for decent service.

My service at newport was hell too, and I have heard the same thing from many other people. Stay away from NPB Porsche

Was just at NB to get my radio code, didn't have any issues -in fact, they were ultra nice, not sure if I'd leave my car in their hands though.

Guys,
Got to give credit where it's due, I have been to the auto gallery in woodland hills a few times lately. They have done right by me, service is on the money and quick -I would suggest them.
