2000 Gemballa Carrera Cabriolet

Hey gang, new guy here with a few questions about a potential purchase. My fiancee's father has the car and she wants to buy it from him. Its kind of a unique car and since this seems to be the place for alot of things 996, I'm here to ask for your expertise.

The car is a 2000 Carrera Cabriolet that was sent to Gemballa North America to have a whole bunch of work done to it.
- Turbo-look GTR Conversion(all metal)
- Rocker panel w/air intakes
- rear fender air intakes in metal
- Gemballa 3-piece Cup design wheels(18x8.5 and 18x11)
- lowering springs
- Gemballa Sport exhaust
- Gemballa 110mm oval exhaust tips
- front tower brace
- door sills
- steering wheel
- pedal covers
and a bunch of other little add-ons.

The car, as it sits today, has 4025 original miles!!! It has been garaged its entire life and is as flawless as the day it came out of the showroom. The car has been dealer serviced each and every year regardless of how many miles it was driven and whether it was needed or not. I have all of the local dealer service records.

I'm personally not that crazy about the car, but she really likes it and will more than likely buy it from him when the weather finally warms up here in PA. My question for you guys is what is it worth??? Its a one-of-a-kind vehicle in perfect condition, so determining a value is going to be subjective, but I need to get some kind of idea. If she buys it, we will probably keep it forever, so reselling it isn't a consideration. let me know what you think.

Thanks for looking/reading and I look forward to reading your expertise and wisdom.

Dan

Neat car you have there. The Gemballa decklid would really complete it.

Regarding your question- My opinion is that it is not worth (in dollars) much more than any other low mileage 996. Since the car is not a Gemballa car, the parts are nothing more than a body kit. No different than someone installing Techart parts. They look cool and may make the car more desirable to that special buyer, but it will also turn off a lot of buyers.

I think a reasonable selling price would be ~35

The side rocker and rear fender treatment is really nice and the fact that it's done in metal. However with those mods, I really think it needs more aggressive front and rear along with tips and wing. Wheels do look a little bit more 80ish and would look more at home on an older 911.

Anywho, back to topic. As someone said, since it's not a Gemballa car(I'm assuming no plaque) it might fetch upper 20's in today's market for the right buyer.

With that said, Father to Daughter discount should make it in the teens.

I agree about the upper 20's. I dont think I would touch a 4000 mile car. I'm sure all the seals are dry. I would definably do a PPI

Agree $35k is fair market price. Those add-ons doesn't seem to add value to it --regardless how much he spent on it.
