Is this 2000 Cab a deal ? HELP

Hi,

Never owned a Porsche before but am interested in getting this 2000 cab with 73K miles....needs 2 new tires, IMS bearing has NOT been changed, has new water pump and brakes...the rims are a bit chewed up but they are after market rims that are nice.....however, there are LOTS of pain chips in the nose....is $18K too much??? opinions please...its a 6 speed manual vert.

Also, anyone know where I can take this car for a PPI in San Jose area in Cali????

Thanks guys!!!

That's not too bad. But new clutch, ims upgrade and new tires will easily add another $4k to that price. If you're looking for a 00 boxster s with everything fully maintained with the upgrade and same milage.. I got one for a killer deal..

If that comes back with a good PPI, thats a steal! I paid $24,000 with a clean PPI and 58K on the OD

I paid $18.5k for mine... Same year, about same mileage... Took me 1 year and another $18k to restore it... Now it looks and performs like brand new

$18K is a great pricepoint. Even with a $6K upgrade: tires/rims, clutch kit, IMS upgrade, your looking at a $24K P-car (average pricepoint) that would be in perfect working order.

Yeah, that's a good price. I normally see those in the low 20s in our area. I paid almost double that for my 02, lol. The PPI will give you a piece of mind, but the main part is if you like it, then go for it.
