996 Cab needs a 3rd Engine at 54,000 miles??

Here are the facts:

+ 2003 996 cab purchased in May 08', 23K milles and 2 yr CPO
+ June 08' Intermediate Shaft Failure 24.8K; new engine under warranty
+ April 11' Valve Keeper Failure at 28K on new engine; Needs new engine; warranty expired less than 12 months;

Porsche is willing to pay 50% on new engine!

They should pay 100% why should I to pay anything? car only has

Who do I complain to? This is a reliability and engineering issue!

Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

I would talk with Porsche North America direct, if you haven't already. You may have better luck than with the dealer as your middleman. Also, gather up maintenance records and other pertinent information to plead your case that the car's been well maintained, not tracked, etc. I'd also be as nice (as much as you want to go in, guns blazin').

Also, how did a malfunction of that part cause your engine failure?

Good luck and keep us posted with progress.

From what I understand, the valve keeper broke, the valve fell into the engine and caused internal damage. Porsche says the best recourse it to replace the engine.

Porsche North America is aware of my service records and also noted that the car was never tracked. Thats the irony...

I need to take it to the next level
