Hey guys

I am an owner of a 2011 Audi S4 but my stepfather has a 2001 Posche C4 Cabriolet. I had a couple of questions for him. I frequent the audizine, audiworld, fourtitude, vwvortex and other boards for a while so Im not new to the forums. His questions are

1.Do all the wheels that fit 996 Turbo and TT all fit his C4 cab?

2.What is the best of the all season tire offerings for his car? (he has turbo twisties) We live in Mid westchester NY

3. Do the 996 Turbo hollow spokes fit his car?

4. Who makes the best Porsche reps for the price and has the best wheel/tire deals?

Thank you in advance for your wisdom

1) No. C4 is a narrow body car. Turbo is wide body. The wheels will have different offsets, but might fit with spacers, or might not fit at all. You will need to check the specific wheels. Also, there is no difference between 996 Turbo and TT.

2) Depends on what you need.

3) See #1.

4) Wheel Enhancement and Wheel Experts are a good start (and site sponsors).

For the most part Turbo/Widebody wheels won't fit narrow Body cars and spacers won't really help. narrow Body wheels can often be made to fit wide body cars with spacers. The issue is that wide body wheels have lower offset, this means that the wheels fit further out from the center of the car. The higher the offset the further in toward the center. So Wide body wheels with low offsets sit out too far and can hit the fenders. narrow Body wheels with higher offsets can be used with spacers to move them out farther, not vice versa.

If he already has turbo twist wheels, then a set of wheels from a turbo wouldn't look any different anyway. The turbo comes from the factory with turbo twist wheels. Why is he wanting to change them - appearance or weight?

+1 on Wheel Enhancement.

I'm not a big believer in all-season tires (aka no-season tires). However, if you must, then I would consider Continental DWS or Pirelli P Zero Nero (not sure if they make them in the proper sizes). I've had pretty good luck with both on other cars. I would avoid Hankooks and Pirelli P6 Four Seasons based on previous experience.
