Hey guys,Just curious as to how many people have done the IMS upgrade to the car. I know if you talk to most people on here it's not as much of a worry then when you talk to a shop and they tell you "do not drive the car till to get this fixed" I do plan on doing the upgrade sooner then later. Found a shop in Jersey that will do it for around $1700. So below feel free to list your car info if you have or have not done the upgrade. Thanks

2003 911, IMS/RMS/AOS done preventatively at approx 21,400 miles. Purchased car in December of 2010 with 19,500 miles on it.

 

2002 C4 Cabrio 65k, IMS/AOS/Water pump in progress right now.

Better safe than sorry.

 

Did IMS, AOS, and water pump myself last winter. 2000 C2 with 75k. Sleep better.

 

Had a shop do mine this year IMS bearing upgrade and RMS @ 83K miles

Definitely on the proactive to do list @ ~60K (clutch replacement)

2000 C4, 37K miles. Replaced IMS, RMS, Clutch, AOS @ 37K miles.

 

clutch, IMS bearing, RMS. There was considerable wear in the removed bearing at 92,000 miles.
