More notes from my mechanic:
The engine issue isn’t your head gasket. As we discussed, your engine has cylinder wall damage. Pretty typical “D chunk” and cylinder fractures were seen with the borescope.

Sorry to hear that. That's a horse of a different color. It's likely rebuildable. In any case, you should have the cooling system throroughly flushed.
