Custom Procharged C4S

I couldn't track down a used VF kit, so I decided to build my own Procharger kit based on a PSC1. Almost done fabbing the bracket and the rest should go quick. Plan is to try water/meth instead of an intercooler, since it's much easier and max boost will be around 6 psi, which is boarderline for really needing an intercooler. The biggest pain so far is that annoying SAI pump that gets in the way. Trying to decide whether to relocate or delete. Will post updates when I can.

Thanks. Little delayed right now, trying to do some maintenance things while I'm in there. Working on plugs, coils, water pump, thermostat. Should be back on to the supercharger in a couple weeks.

Yes sir I understand. I'm currently saving up for a ton of parts to hopefully install next year. I currently have the B&N short shifter and a set of fabspeed headers under the bed. I don't want to put them on, I want to put everything on at once. I should have a CAT bypass, Evoms CAI, IPD plenum, tune and possible GT3 throttle body and lightened flywheel (still researching those two). Along with all my tune up parts the IMS solution, clutch, water pump, plugs, belts coil packs and air/oil separator. May have left a thing or two off the list.

Awesome, good idea, saves a lot of time and headache to just do it all at once.

Nice, he's been extremely helpful for me.

Finally making a little progress. Getting ready to cut the final mount. Prob won't be the prettiest but it'll work.

I would ditch the K&N piping and use a draw through method on the MAF with the BOV recycling to the intake of the supercharger after the MAF.

Clearance/space looks tough so perhaps cannot get that luxury. I ran back to back styles on Novi 2k (different car similar engine) and draw through MAF was much better. There are strange issues with the BOV being close to the MAF and venting to atmosphere, especially at higher boost. Hope you don't run into that.

I believe it was due to the MAF style being a hot film sensor that measures the cooling effect of the air passing over it. Then you have the pre-heat due to the supercharger (boyle's/ideal gas law) and the MAF gets confused and sends crappy signals to the ECU.

Thanks, that's really helpful. I'm a little worried it might give me issues, but going to try it out this way just for simplicity. I'm only going to run about 6-7 lbs boost, so hoping it might not be an issue.

Also wondering if it will fix any issues if I modify the the piping a little bit after the bov, so the maf is on the top side and much further away from the bov.

Here's a couple of the engine and meth setups. Ignore my ugly air filter and hose clamps lol..just temporary. Tried the base tune tonight, but ran rough. Hoping next try goes better. Otherwise, might be switching maf and bov setup.

Will be adding afr gauge later on
