Anyone with supercharger long term?

I know there aren't many with a SC but among those that have had one for a while, how's the car running?
Ideally, I'd go turbo but no one has done one on a 99 C2 cable. I just don't want to be the first as I'd like to keep the down time minimal.
I know there are people with the older Evo/vf SC's and now GIAC/vf that are 99 cable. It seems like this route may be the easiest/quickest.
Straight line isn't everything but it's getting old getting yanked by everything on the street ....

Define long term.

I'm running the VF-SC kit and I'm past the break-in period of 300 miles. I'd say I'm around 600-800 miles on the kit so far. Runs great, no problems.

I've heard some say they were not impressed, but I am experiencing a noticeable difference. Of course, the boost range is the best and that's at around 4700+ RPM. You can really feel it push you into the seat and I've been able to keep up and beat a lot of newer sports cars on the road.

I also did a lot of service work as well when I did the kit. I put in new coils, plugs, 2nd gear detent upgrade, coolant lines and coolant flush, and a full exhaust system with sport cats, etc.

Cheers
Aaron

I've had my supercharger on for 43k and over 40 track days. I put a smaller pulley on last year making 7.7lbs of boost. Car runs great! If it wasnt for the noise the charger makes, you wouldnt even know its there.
I can out run 996gt3's on the straights, so it goes pretty good.

Thanks for the feedbacks....long term...I guess 2yrs/20k+ miles?

7.7 lbs? That's a lot of boost.
Evo no longer has a kit. It's now VF/GIAC. I'm not sure how a canned tune will be...any possibility of a custom tune?

I didnt change the tune when I changed the pulley, car addapted no problem. It runs slightly rich but probably safer that way. I wonder how much power it would gain with a custom tune?
