does anyone know if the cable is taut when new and in there as it should be or is there always some slack, i see quuite a bit of slack and one of the adjustment screws take that out, but not nearly enough out as is needed...its hard to fiigure how the window is all at once not dropping the full 1/4 inch, or however much, when the cable, i would think, stretches gradually, but i guess it manifests itself by one day being that mm longer than was ok yesterday, sorry this got long of a sudden, but i'm thinkin a shim of 1/4 to 3/8" would give it another couple of years...if i don't open the door, or ... thanks, again, i can't believe how valuable this forum is being a selfprofessed diy'er, cheers
