997 lobster forks on 996 nb?

Hi,

I've searched around and getting some conflicting information on whether or not the 997 lobster forks will fit on a 996 nb (with M030 suspension)?

my current specs:
F: 18x8 ET52 225/40/18
R: 18x10 ET65 285/35/18

Lobster forks - set of interest
F: 19x8 ET57 235/35/19 (Hankook V12)
R: 19x11 ET67 295/30/19

I've done some wheel offset calculations (1010tires.com) but wanted to know from people who have done the installation. Any rubbing? Spacers required? Also, what's the ride quality like?

Thanks in advance.

I'm currently driving on satin black lobster's forks with 235 fronts and 305 backs. No spacers, no rubbing. My car is not dropped. Ride quality is excellent and the back sticks like glue. (nitto invos)

Are you on stock suspension? Pic appears lower than stock.

Thanks for your help. What year is your 996?

Is there enough room for spacers at the front? Perhaps 15mm?

i'll have to look when i get to my car, but probably not. the rubbing really isnt an issue anyway, it only happens when i'm reversing slowly out of my parking spot in my parkade. i think i might be running slightly too tall of a tire aspect as well.

I have stock suspension... my car is a 2002, so after so many years it may sit lower.

The fronts are not rubbing even with a complete lock on either side. The Nittos Invos have been the best choice ever. Great when wet and even greater when dry...

I think you'll have some room for some 5mm spacers all around...

Thanks to everyone for their help. Joel and split: are you running 35/30 aspect tires F/R?

Also joel, any chance you still have your OEM 18s kicking around (the ones in the first few pics in flickr), perhaps looking for a new home?

Thanks again.

Yes, that's the aspect ratio I have now... The 18" Carrera Lightweights are long gone. I think I sold them for $200 when I got the 997 forks...
