GT3 headers on a 996 C2 3.4L?

Will they fit? Is it worth the exchange? I own a 2001 996 C2 3.4L. My FIL owns a 996 GT3 he recently changed his setup to a cup kit. Will his headers, 100 cell cats and Fabspeed muffler bypass fit my 3.4L?

trenddy996 is infamous around these parts
You would have to change the exhaust manifold flange and run a middle exhaust exit bumper. Probably also have to swap midpipe mounting brackets.

People will propbably also tell you not to do as the 3.6 and 3.4 exhaust are tuned different.

This is the header, cat, fabspeed setup that was on his car before he changed to the cup setup. So it isn't a center exhaust.

Only the newer GT3's have a center exhaust. I do not think they will work on the C2996. If they were the same they wouldn't sell different models of parts for the car.

You're going to have a prob. with the header flange. GT3's have 9 bolts on each header vs. 6 bolts on a nongt3. I believe none of the header flange bolt holes are going to line up...

Hey Matthew, the 996 GT3 Headers and sport cats will not fit on your 996. The rear mufflers will work fine, but you will need tips for it. The 996 GT3 Headers and sport cats use a different tube design, different header flange and much different fit. Let me know if you need any of those parts, I can make you a nice member special for the holiday. You will need just the Sport Cats and Headers.
thanks,
