I had my Clutch, IMS, RMS and fluid flush done all there. Talk to Billy the service manager and tell em JayFunk sent you.
I know this post is a bit dated, but do you still go to Athans Motors? Its right by me and I think I need my alternator replaced (battery/generator light keeps coming on). Didn't want to go too far and end up getting towed to a shop.

Thanks,
Dan

Dan,

Yep still go to Athans Motors, actually heading there this week to get an oil change and look over on my new car (r8) and repair my mothers Van (a sexy 2001 Toyota Sienna lol). Very good work with reasonable repair rates. Tell Billy I sent ya

Ive changed my Alternator before because I was getting the same problem and it wasnt that hard. what I did to keep cost down was just get it rebuilt in the city (well I live in Chicago and have a Ton of those rebuild shops near me) and install it myself. rebuild only took 1.5 hr and was able to do it in an afternoon.

Jayfunk - Thanks for the info. I wish I could do it myself, but I figured I'd let a trained professional do it for me. They are literally 2 minutes away from my house so this will make a big difference. I appreciate the input!

Don't mean to hijack this post but seems like everyone on this post is from Chicago. Does anyone know of any car meetups in the area other than Supercar Saturdays? I would like something where we actually go for a ride like the Harley rides I go on.

Someone used to organize a few fun runs a yr or 2 ago (omar?) But other than that, im not sure. I know the m3 people go on runs sometimes and the jdm or subie guys do one once a month. Check out jdmchicago.com for another local chicago board or even rennlist
