Pulling the battery

Time for a new battery it seems, before I disconnect the power do I need the radio code? I have the big nav unit in my 2004 996, not sure if there is a code
Thanks,

I do not have navi, but I would think you would need the radio code. If you have the original owner's manual package, the radio code card is tucked in the opening flap of the package. Other than the radio code, you will also need to reset your auto up-down window, sunroof, and memory seats if applicable. Good luck.

You should have the codes for your car. However, I suppose that you could use another charged battery and attach it to your terminals, then disconnect your battery and swap it out. Then connect the new battery before disconnecting the jumper battery. I would still get the codes for your car. You will certainly need it if/when your battery goes dead.

Sooner or later you will need the code. My previous owner painted it on the bottom of the ashtray. +1 - there are two codes.
