Ah okay, now on those I pulled up the vinyl and cut it slowly and fit it into place. Another area that is hard is the spoiler, you have to cut slowly into the vents so as to not hit the actual spoiler. Its hard, but patience, time and a trusty friend w/ heat guns and spray and you can have it done!

Haha true!
But I like it. Just personal choice.

Ah ok, these are the parts where precision and careful hands really counts and is where it will separate men from the boys when it comes to doing this.

On another note, they do offer gloss wraps as well but I question how long that gloss will last considering vinyl is softer than paint and thus will scratch more easily over time. There is one member that I know of on here that has the gloss wrap. It would be interesting to see how his wrap holds up from a few months from now.

Yes careful hands is a must. I am not that patient, atleast I didnt think I was. But I tackled it well. A matte white would be interesting, but gloss wrap?
hmm...
I wouldnt get a gloss wrap, but not a lot of people would get a matte wrap.
Oh well. But alas, my car is garaged due to a dead Cam Tensioner. 12hr job and a 1k dollar part. Time to start working on it :/

It seems as if Plastidip would be easier and less costly than dealing with vinyl. If you haven't seen this stuff on a whole car, check it out.

Matte Black

Matte White

Whaaaaaaaaaaaat!

I painted my wheels on my G8 with plastidip but never imagined a whole car.. I might be interested in doing the matte white. The stuff literally just peels right off. I know the guys on camaro5.com have gotten awfully creative with it. Do you happen to know if either of those cars are member cars here on 6speed?

^ I plasti dipped my allroad (see audizine search allroad matte black) It was easy and looked good...til I removed it. I didn't tape or cut in very well so when i took it off there is still over spray on certain cracks. Those areas are nearly impossible to get to (chrome trim around the windows) and around the grill but it seems like a few months later its coming off. Also in certain spots the paint doesn't seem as smooth, so a clay bar is a must after removing it. Just my .02 and personal experience.

They are both on Audizine. The stuff is popular in that scene now.
