Howdy 996 folks. I recently picked up a new toy; I got tired of driving my SUV every day and wanted something fun again.
2003 Targa, had about 36k miles when I bought it. I'm up to almost 39k after a few weeks. Had to replace some electronics but it's been a blast - really enjoying it.
And now the required pics of a plain jane vanilla looking stock Targa

Thanks guys. Couple more pics:
I love the glass roof - great for rainy days or cold nights. Although the car is too bright inside. I need to get the windows tinted.

Stock headunit wasn't working, but I didn't find out until I bought a new one and pulled it out that it was just a blown fuse in the back of the CDR-23. Replaced the MOST system and installed an amp in the front trunk and put in a DNX6990 for music and nav.

Nice custom K40 install by the previous owner, although I had to re-run the wiring and replace the rear sensor

A buddy had a nice 04 C4S Coupe for sale at his dealership, listed at $38K, which I thought was high, but then he took it to Mannheim and got 42K at auction, so either he found a sucker or the market is hotter than I expected.
I paid $30,300 + taxes/registration in Maryland. 36k miles, not too many options, needed tires and a head unit. The dealer was asking for $37k or some ridiculous number. I had a PPI done and thought $30k was fair. All of the other 996s I drove had major issues (either cosmetic or mechanical) or were overpriced, in my opinion.
