Red face Just 2 things, I like to mod. Exhaust and taillights

I know that I'm probably putting myself on the crazy spiral, but I want to put on dectane or similar taillights and I have heard a lot p car owners go w Fabspeed exhaust. Any recommendations? Can I do this myself? Machbx is a 01 c4 cab 6 spd w 36 on the clock

You can do both of these mods yourself, quite easily. I think Fabspeeds are fine. Lots of people are happy with them. Lots of people (me included) also like Fister Sport Mufflers. They are less expensive and they don't drone. Fister makes no claims of increases in horsepower, only increased sound. Fabspeed makes horsepower claims. I'm beginning to think the ultimate combination is sport cats with Fister Sport Mufflers. I'll probably buy Fabspeed sport cats.

You are right about a crazy spiral... it never ends...

Good luck and have fun!

The are the LED tail lights you see on a lot of newer cars - I have also seen them referred to as 997 tail lights - but I have seen them priced at anywhere from 800 to 320 on eBay - and I have heard that u "have to cute the bumper off" or that they bolt right up. So I'm asking - and w re to exhaust I'm far more interested in sound than a few extra ponies - I don't track.

Look up Gundo Hack / modified muffler. Many you tube vids too / sounds great!

Cost is right at about $200 to $250.

I have the same model car... did the Fister D mufflers. Love the sound and as mentioned hardly any droning when cruising but an unbelievable sound on WOT with the top down. My gas mileage has suffered a bit from all that WOT activity but oh well. LOL

Hey machbx, make sure to check out the Fabspeed mufflers for your 996. They will make a little more power and improve the sound without changing anything else. They will bolt right up to your stock cats and give the car a more sporty and deep sound that the Porsche deserves. Let me know if you have any questions and PM me if you are interested in a special member price on it.
Thanks,
