E-manage ultimate do not have harness for the 996. So it is needed to cut stock wires.
If you tune by yourself, below may be needed.
1. Wiring diagram of ECU for E-manage wiring
2.ECU modification in order to E-manage tune ignition timing
3. A/F ratio sensor
4. Exhaust temperature sensor(optional)
The merit of E-manage is that I can easily adapt fuels for seasons, modification, etc.

VF and others just wont sell the Software with out their product.

Some tuners like Softronic can write software for him but it is intensive, alot of Data-Logging and trail & error and ALOT of time on the Dyno.

I have several months of Data-Logging and tuning to get over 500HP at the crank.
The kit looks like a stock VF to me and if it is VF will reflash your DME to work with the kit there are many used kits and even quoted me a price, however there is no guarantee and the MAP cannot be modified if you wish to change the kit. Softtronic told me they would not tune it? When tuning the biggest issue seems to be the timing vs AFR when FVD was tuning mine and no longer tune to Durametric log data as the dyno test.

Why not go with softronics for the fact that you will be able to continue tuning when you go to a smaller pulley

Data-Logging records your Fuel Trims and Timing along with every other engine data. Unless you have the VF, Softronic, FVD sitting there with a laptop they cant tune in real time. You run the car on the dyno, send them your Data Log, then they tweak it and send it back to be flashed, then you run on the Dyno again, send your Data Log then they tweak it again, over and over until they get every horsepower possible out of your engine. Its taken me well over 20 hours of Data Logging to get 487hp and now that i added Methanol Injection they are going to tweak some of the settings again, so im running perfect at over 500hp at the crank. Will be posting dyno sheets soon.

I agree, FVD used to do this with my car just using the live street data from Durametric and sent me the modded file however they use a dyno now and do not understand why? In addition what I liked most about DIY from home is that my car would not tie up the dyno while they tweaked the file. Sounds like you are making great progress. GL

I located a local softronic dealer in my area from their site and they said they would do a live custom tune on a dyno.
What do you guys think? Although i would like to get the VF software for the kit but getting an email response has been so difficult.
Shop is called Pacific Western Performance in vancouver if anyone locally has dealt with them?

Looks to me like they don't stand behind their product, and if they don't then everyone considering buying their product should be informed of this. It really should not matter whether it is new or used for that matter.

This is a little like Porshce (or another car maker) saying if you did not buy the car from them they won't service it. A terrible policy and terrible customer/product support.
My understanding is that either garret or GIAC along with EVO developed the tune for the kit not VF and have now moved on to other things, however they sold the tune to VF and they will sell the tune for the SC. If they are not selling the tune now then they would be losing profits.

Hi rokkoutaishi

Im considering to use the AEM FI/C on my SC project on my 996 -99
Just wondering if you have any CEL or other error on the DME or is it working fine with the e-manage system?

No CEL or errors. The car runs perfectly. It is easy to tune A/F ratio because E-manage can automatically tune fuel amount aim to A/F ratio you input, using signal captured from wideband O2 sensor. I do not know whether the AEM FI/C can, however.

Well the AEM FI/C can actually do more than the E-manager so a was only wondering how the Motronic system reacting on the altering of the signals

thanks !
looking forward on my project!!
