Standalone or ECU piggy bank managements?

Look what i received in the mail today(below) . I was in a huge dilemma whether to go forth with it or not. But in the end, it won.

I was unable to obtain the ECU map flash specifically for this supercharger kit, so i was wondering if it was possible to run some sort of standalone ECU management or some piggybank system like Greddy E-manage ultimate to have it tuned?

I'm getting it installed after the weekend, however i got no management for the tuning .

Thanks

My 1999 996 run with the E-manage ultimate for IMA twin turbos, but modifying ECU may be needed to tune ignition timing because E-manage can drive only the base of a power transistor.

AEM Stand Alone Fuel Management System. That is pretty adventurous to buy a kit with out tuning. Even if you get a Stand Alone System, your going to need a experienced tuner and 10-20 hours on the dyno to tune it.

Put a stock VF engineering tune on it and go.

Adventurous indeed, however probably not the best idea lol.
I assumed it would of been as easy as send a few emails and send my ECU out for a flash and pop it back in, but clearly that wasn't the case for me. This was a brand new kit i got from a member who hadn't even open it.

Softronic does tuning but you will have too Data-Log on the dyno and it takes a while to tune a car. Don't let anyone here fool you! I cant even tell you how many hours on the dyno I have. They have to view your Data-Log files and keep tweaking and modifying parameters, then run it on the dyno, then read your data and tweak it, then over and over again until its running PERFECT...

Easier said then done and it doesnt work like that. The ECM Tune has to matched to his equipment, every Turbo/Supercharger has different "Flow Mapping", different CFM Output at different RPMs. Then also is engine, asuming its a 3.6L Vario-Cam, the Ignition Curves are different, fuel mapping...ect.

VF and others just wont sell the Software with out their product.

Some tuners like Softronic can write software for him but it is intensive, alot of Data-Logging and trail & error and ALOT of time on the Dyno.

I have several months of Data-Logging and tuning to get over 500HP at the crank.

I don't understand why the maker of the kit won't work with MadeinPorsche on the ECU tune. It is a new kit, so they have been paid for the kit (and probably the ECU tune as part of the package). Now he is willing to pay them again for the ECU tune. Looks to me like they don't stand behind their product, and if they don't then everyone considering buying their product should be informed of this. It really should not matter whether it is new or used for that matter.

This is a little like Porshce (or another car maker) saying if you did not buy the car from them they won't service it. A terrible policy and terrible customer/product support.

Maybe I misread the thread but from what I understood. He bought the kit from another 6speedonline/ebay seller and from the looks its not a VF kit. I could be way wrong but it looks like a no name kit, it has all the hardware to work but no software.

But if it is a VF or TPC..ect system im sure they would give him support.

I should add, this is a Brand new VF engineering V3 supercharger kit.
I purchased it from a member here who bought it from VF a few months back.
Everything is sealed in the packaging, injectors, belt, etc.

I tried to contact VF but havent gotten any email responses regarding the flash.
Its been almost 2 weeks, so decided to go down another route with management.

I feel like an ***...lol. Well VF should help you or goto their website and find an Authorized Dealer near you and have them program your ECU.
