Chevron Premium for the reasons stated in my previous posts & personal experience. Castrol Edge 10w-40 based on info from many forum threads but I may switch to the new Joe Gibbs DT-40 once it is available locally.

The cheapest of Shell, 76, Chevron brands - 91 octane - I can find. I am thinking all the rest is advertising and propaganda! After all we are in California AKA the land of Moonface Brown and tree huggin' flip-floppers.

I add a bottle of Amsoil Octane Booster to every tank leaving me at about 94.5 (this booster placed 3rd of 11 octane boosters in a test of "add in / bottled" boosters). Without it I can definitely feel a little sluggishness with reduced timing to compensate for the poor fuel. I use Chevron and Shell for my SUV's. They both seem to work great.
At Park City's elevation I believe you are wasting money on octane booster.

Wasting on booster?

Why do you think? Retarded timing due to oxygen? I drive I80 canyon from 4200 in Salt Lake to my house at 6500. In SLC and even Park City (I'll do another good butt dyno) I swear it revs faster and smoother with the boost. Plus, being in SLC much of the time I think it can advance with plenty of O2 at that elevation. Thoughts?

I would think the alcohol free 92 octane would be plenty at 4000 ft since getting oxygen to the engine is the biggest problem, but I have never expermented with a DME car at altitude.
