$$$$

I was surprised to find out that my 2003 Carrera was only worth $25K. This is what the dealer would offer me. Is this correct pricing? If it is I am sort of disappointed. This price makes it hard to upgrade the car as the 997 are $50k and above.

Specific model (is it a C2?) and mileage as well as what he ^^^ said.

The value doesn't sound unrealistic. 996 Turbos are selling in the low to mid $40k range pretty consistently. A regular Carrera is much less desirable and had probably 1/2 the sticker price.

Trade in values are highly dependant on mileage. It doesnt matter if the interior is mint. Whats the mileage on yours? and what was your original sticker price.

Right now Manheim is showing an average of $31k for cars with an average odometer reading of 32k miles.

Double that mileage to 65k miles and dealers can pick them up at auction for around 21k.

Options and condition do have an impact on price but are superceded by the mileage if its higher. And even though 65k miles is not high for a 10 year old car its still high for a high dollar car like porsches.

24,700 average for a car like yours. So they are actually making you a reasonable offer. That being said, they should prob be willing to move another 1-2k on yours to make the deal happen.

Trade in means dealer needs to allow themselves some profit, however thats a reasonable offer

car is worth on a good day 25-30 if sold private, dealers always buy wholesale. 100k km the prices seem to drop.

2001 C2 w/ 28K miles...Silver on black with Aero Package. My cai s exceptionally clean!! Offered by local dealer of 26100.00 for trade in. Seems low to me since Kelly Blue is 27K trade and 32500 retail.

It doesn't seem to matter how clean or what options it has. Either the car has too many miles, and if it doesn't then they go by the year. THey tell you that "this" year of car is hard to get any thing for it. Of course no matter what year it's always the same story. They find any excuse to give you nothing BUT wait till you see it on their lot, the price has gone up significantly. I know they need to make money, I just wish they woudn't make all their money on my car.
