Cruise control no longer engages

I have only had my car since April and the cruise control worked fine then. On a trip to an autox I noticed while I could turn on the CC when I tried to set the speed it would not take the set. This is nota big deal for me but I would like to have it working. I hope I can get some guidance as to what to look for,

Thanks

It's usually either the cruise control stalk, the clutch switch, or brake switch. A scan tool is going to be the easiest way to figure it out.

I first did my onw visual inspection and I noticed a crack in the switch. I then chose to take the car to my Porsche mech to be sure and he confirmed the switch failure.

Wow, I don't even know if my cruise control works and I've had the car over two years!
