installed the functionfirst "bushings" last weekend and the shifting is definitely improved - had the same issue as you before

I have torque solutions semi solid mounts for the engine mounts

I have had my FF mount installed since last week. At first I did think it was too harsh allowing too much vibration into the cabin of the car. But as I drove it I kind of liked that the vibes synced with the howl of my Fister modded mufflers. At around 3.5-4k the howl started and the vibes were at their worst ( not bad at all). I really couldn't tell if the shifting was any better. But at that point I thought themed was okay not great but just okay.
This weekend I attended a NASA event as an instructor. Once I got the car on track the change was really apparent. My shifts were positive and firm. Of course the vibrations were not an issue on track but on the drive home on Sunday after 3 hard sessions on track the vibes seemed to have softened a little with no loss of handling or positive shifting. Driving around town today, the car seemed a little more harsh than stock but not bad at all. I'm going to Laguna Seca tomorrow, so I'll have more input. But I like the change so I give this mod two thumbs up.

Can anyone comment on how difficult these are to install without removing the transmission?

Thanks

It isn't too bad. My main issue was getting the car up high enough to comfortably do the work. Getting the bushing in wasn't too difficult using dish soap as a lubricant on the bushing and also in the openings in the Trans mount. I had to use my dead blow hammer to do a little persuasion. Follow the instructions and use a torque wrench for the finial tightening of the mounting nuts. It took me about two hours but I'm slow.

The event went very well! Excellent feedback from the mount. I really like it. I also had my new GT3 bars and Hankook RS3s working. This combination makes for a really stable platform. The weather was great after some morning fog, lots of sunshine and lots of great cars ( Porsches, McLarens, Ferraris). My student had a Maserati GT (Ferrari V8) and he did very well. I even got to take a couple of laps at the wheel.
