Today, I finally got annoyed by how many times the K band goes off on my V1, so I decided to turn off the K band all together.

I have tried everything to keep it down, such as Advanced-logic Mode, didnt do anything for me. So am I alone on doing this, or have some of you guys done this as well?

Around here K band is used by the police. If they don't use K band at all in Ca then buy a Passport 8500 X50. Less falses, better range.

i didn't think you could turn k off altogether. i have x off all the way. k only alerts when it goes over a certain signal strength and if the signal is coming from the front. rear k is turned off. seems like ka is the one you really want to pay attention to these days. that and laser, but usually when the laser goes off it means i'm about to get pulled over

Well I already bought the V1, so there is no turning back, and I like the arrow feature on the V1.

I couldn't figure out how to keep k off until a certain strength, but it probably will still be annoying to me. Sitting at an intersection with a Safeway and a Walgreens very close gets annoying real quick. Even if I mute it, it decides to pick up more random K bands and beeps to let me know theres more.

As for lasers, I have been hit with lasers quite a few times and did not know where it came from, could have been falsed by brake lights or something.
