Seattle-Bellevue, WA Area: Where to buy oil?

I'd like to change my own oil and would like to know where I could buy recommended engine oil (i.e. 0W-40) for my Carrera. Any leads? Thank you!

Most any auto parts store will have M1 in 0-40. As mentioned, Walmart would be less expensive. When it comes to oil Porsche has many "approved" oils, DT40 seems to be coming on strong as well.

Ok, I've got to ask. Is the Mobil 1 labeled as 0w-40 or is it just 40? O'Reilly's doesn't carry it (0w-40). Looks like it's a trip to the local WalMart.

It'll say 0W-40, just 40 is straight weight and should not be used.

Link to approved oils, there are more current lists but this is a good start:

And a good article:

A good oil

I think I'm going to DT40

In the Chicago area Advance Auto is having a buy one get one free sale. I use Castrol Syntech/Edge 5w-40 and with the sale it is only about $4.25 per quart.

I stay away from M1 as they have reduced the level of ZDDP in recent years. This is why the boutique oils, like DT40 are becoming more popular.
