Carbon Fiber

Has anyone seen how carbon fiber looks against Lapis Blue... I am looking to maybe do some CF mods (top of my wing, mirrors, etc..) but am worried that it might not look good against that blue...

Beautiful car.

I have a Lapis blue Cayman S w/ a big TechArt GT2 style wing... I got my wing painted body color, but soon after saw a finished CF wing that looked bada$$...

I think if you're going to do it, you've got to go all the way... CF wing, CF mirrors, CF front lip(or something up front)...

It would look great but, TO ME, painting or wrapping to look CF is simply lazy or bush. Carbon Fibre is a functional thing not a look. If you want CF, change the parts and get the only benefit that CF affords - weight savings.

What are you talking about? Nowhere did c/f paint or wrap get mentioned.
C/F is frequently used as trim or add on pieces. If you think that c/f mirror covers are intended to drop weight you are mis-informed.

JPD17 - C/F trim would look amazing on your car.

Thumbs up Carbon for 996 Turbo both good and bad

O.K.

Carbon is something to be careful about:

Don't buy carbon 3M or Nano and have it covering your car. It's cheezy!

Simply buy some really good quality from Rottech in Canada of the rear spoiler, front spoiler, air intakes and side view mirrors.

I would say Wicked Motors, but they still owe me like almost $2000.00 for a rear spoiler I sent back almost a month ago and I'm waiting for the refund. I'll let you know if they send me one!

I've dealt with Ray at Rottech many times and the quality is good. I got a front spoiler from Wicked motors and two intakes also. They seem to be fine. BUT.....

Unless I find a check in the mail pretty soon from Wicked motors I think things will play out as to their ways... if you get me.

HRE Mono block 19" or even Profil 10 From Fikse are beautiful wheels, but there are some that look just like them that are half as expensive too!

Then the racing plennum, the cold air intake, the chip and even springs if you don't mind really being careful of everywhere you drive since you only have about 3" of clearance.....

hey, we're all crazy so right?

Ray at Rottech has some nice quality stuff like Dharma mentioned above. I actualy got a set of gt3 carbon seats and they are nicely made. Only bad thing was during shipping the seat brackets busted out of the box and tore a small hole but Ray was quik to take care of the issue and send me a new seat cover out right away. I probably got it with in the week.

Video Carbon for 996 Turbo both good and bad

That's great! Yeah, I know.. Ray definitely cares about customers! I'm waiting on him to get some carbon side view mirrors for my 996 turbo cabriolet. Hey, let's face it... you take care of your customers and they will come back. I've still got one I haven't finished yet, and I may still go to Wicked motors, but if I don't get a refund soon, from the far defective carbon rear spoiler, I'll made new plans. c'mon Beau..... waiting.......
