How does the warranty work? You have to ship your car to them? That's cheap, not to mention down time and aggravation. Do the evo.

You can replace the engine for 6-7K? Is that right? If so then it makes a lot of sense to put in the Evo or any SC. You'd still be under the Ruf price even if you had to replace the engine. Problem might be the transmission though!?!?!

We are Evo's largest dealer and have done many of these kits. It can be done by yourself, but things like the injectors can be a bear to do and it is something you feel. Not see. You also need to send the ECU out to be programmed. Other than that it is time consuming.

If you want another option we have been known to fly out and do installs. Might be cheaper than hauling the car to KC or AZ.

The kits are very reliable. There are a ton of cars now over 50K miles on the kits and still going strong. The only thing in danger of being an issue on higher mileage cars is the clutch. We see the belts last about 45K miles and the rest is maintenance free. It is well worth the effort and money.

Yes, we have one customer that tracks his at Heartland Park and does AutoX with it. A 99 C4. He is a terror with the car. I swear he only knows one position on the street or track. On or off. Literally I mean it when I say he beats the hell out of the car. It has not faltered in any way.

I also know that even the orginal protoype of the 996SC is running strong. We also have a car that was built iin CA drove to KC and has been here for about year now. Runs well and has a ton of miles on it.

On the 3.4 they tyically make 415-420 crank HP. I have dyno sheets around here on our Mustang Dyno. They are more conservative as far as numbers. I can fax those if you would like.

The 3.6 car make about 440HP.

Sounds inviting Steve, if I still lived in Prairie Village I'd take you up on an install, most of my contemporaries were from the circle track world out of Independence, Mo. I left KC before heartland even opened. Damn, I miss I-70 speedway, KCIR and the rest of my mispent racing youth.
Maybe I'll fly one of you guys out someday!

Hell, now we have a new super speed way for the roundy rounds. I-70 isn't much anymore. Mostly pony stock class etc. Heartland is being redone again. It is a nice track. We still use Arrowhead and Bendix for the AutoX.

Heya Carlos,

Well you remember that blue cab we did the kit on? That guy tracks EVERY week... He beats on it big time and it's been really good. He's almost _the_ poster child for the track stuff with the super charger. Man don't tell me you are getting ready to....

PS See you later today then pal!
