Ended up with:

18x8 ET50 225
18x10 ET65 285

camber front 1.2 rear 1.2

rear spacers 17mm (techart)
front spacers 14mm (hr). front fenders were rolled so I had not even to think about rub.

Suspension, euro height: US stock rear, and in front is 10mm lower. Koni fsd's and stock euro springs.

Not sure if I like it better than rears 15mm and fronts 7mm. I tried both. Will use for a while. Car feels more planted.

Hey Tarzan the stance looks significantly better. Are you running stock tire sizes (225 f and 285 r)? Think you could go any wider (spacers) on the rear?

Looking good my friend.

Tx. Yes oem sizes.

I guess you could add a couple of mm specially with more camber. Techart goes a bit more. But I think very quickly it starts to look funny. I tried 17 rear and 7 front, and the visual effect made the rears look outside of the fender. 14 rear and 7 front was more balanced. I did put the 14 in front just in case, and then the rears happened to look ok. That is why I am saying I am not sure which I like better, 7/14 or 14/17. Probably 14/14 or 15/15 is safe and balanced. I have been staring at them for too long. We shall see in a few days

Yes. That is the OEM spec. No problems. Assuming that the offset of wheels is 65 which is also oem.

thanks Tarzan just purchased 265/35 in a Bridgestone Re 760 the they seem stretched(low rider style) in the rear and looking to go wider... the Continental's that were on the car fit fine in that size.
will a 295/30 fit seems like a closer match to the stock height 1.3% off Vs 2.33% for the 285's

Hey Tarzan What setup are you liking so far? I was thinking 15mm front and 18mm rear with oem tire sizes OR 14mm and 17mm with 235 f and 295 r.

15 is rubbing inner front fender at full lock. I guess that is why the most common setup in front is 7mm. I don't know if 01 and later cars have this issue. I have not checked if 7mm is the limit. I dont think there are spacers in between 7 and 14. Are there?

Ok, here is the deal:

Did remeasure the Techart spacers in the back: There are 15mm not 17mm as I thought. Confirmed, with techart part number on them. This is as far as you want to go, without rolling fenders, and with a conservative camber (less than 1.5 in my case).

Fronts: I did remeasure the 14mm spacers, were almost more like 13mm. Even so, they rubbed the inner liner at full lock. I did put a 7mm spacer, and they do not rub at full lock. Still, is VERY close to touching. But it does not. That's why most people do not go over 7mm.

15 and 7 it is. You can go wider in the front, and it might look cool... but why do something that is detrimental for the car's performance, maybe even dangerous? You could go into modifying the liner etc... for 7 additional mm? There is no way that 15mm will not rub at full lock. It has nothing to do with the height of the suspension, or camber.

Hope this helps. I am attaching pic of the 15mm rubbing.

Eugizzle, MKI. '99 C2. Front fenders are rolled, previous owner did it to fit those 19's the car came with. I think the rubbing of inner fender would be the same for both MKI and MKII.
