Do these weigh the same as stock or is there a savings to be had? Also, can either of these be used with cat bypass pipes? Lastly, do you publish install instructions for the unit with sound valves so I can assess the LOE and if I can DIY? thx

I'm thinking of doing a cat delete with my Fisters, wonder how that will sound
That's what I run on my car and love it. it's a 3.4 '99 C2.
Obviously it is a little more aggressive than with the cat's

They are lighter than OEM by approx. 12 Lbs./set for the std. mufflers and 8 lbs./set for the valved version.

Either can be used with bypass pipes.

Yes, we have installation instructions - I would require your email to send them to you - if you PM me your email, I will send them...

Hey John,

your sport mufflers with valve looks kinda OEM PSE.
I have theh OEM PSE in my 996. My question is will your system work with the OEM Porsche Valvesystem because i have already installed the switch button inside my car. If needed i would only change the mufflers..
Hope you can help me out!!

Greeting from germany

Hi Zeljko,

Yes, our valves mufflers will work with the OEM switch, wiring and plumbing, except our solenoid is the reverse of the OEM, so you would have to replace the OEM soleoid with ours. All the existing wiring and plumbing would be retained and it would be a very easy installation.

Thanx alot John. With solenoid i guess you mean the little box which controlls the valves right ??
I guess your mufflers will be my next step for my car. Iam goin to visit the USA this summer/autumn so i hope you will still have some pieces in that time

Greetings from Hamburg-city

I know you were asking about the Fisters, but I have Fabspeed on my '99 and LOVE the sound. To be fair I haven't heard the Fisters, which clearly have a loyal following. I like the option of being able to return the car to stock so preferred the catback system. It's also a fairly easy bolt on DIY. I'm sure you'll love it either way, just sharing my $.02.

Exposing more people to the awesome sound of the flat 6 is a good thing!

Yes, they will. Fisters are just modified stock mufflers.

Fabspeed new is going to be much more than the Fister mod, but you save weight and can turn it back to stock. May not be a big deal, but that was my justification. I also found a used system on this forum for less than half of what a new system goes for.

I'm sure you'll be happy either way!

Fisters sound like a great, inexpensive solution to enhanced sound!
