Pulled over Twice in last few weeks - No Ticket
While my wife is inside Fred Meyer and I'm in the parking lot making Lincoln Navigator owners look bad, I would put a lengthy rebuttal.
As I stated in each post above that I use my blinker and safely change lanes each and every time.
The only thing I ever admitted to was traveling at a higher rate of speed than what is posted. I was doing 85, when traffic was doing 75. I do believe my speedometer is a few miles fast though.
I was doing 50-55 when speed limit was 45 on hwy 99.
When I was doing 120 mph we were the only vehicles on I-5. The only people we endangered were ourselves. If there is a 1% chance of anything dangerous every happening to someone else, I don't risk it. There was a funeral procession that followed us onto I-5 from Northgate with police escort.
The little 'ghetto work truck' was lowered and scraping the highway everytime it hit a bump, our taxes pay for that. He was coming on an on ramp right when he saw my suspension extend from the bump. Which I knew was coming and I was completely prepared for. I was not caught off-gaurd.
After he shot a couple photos of my car (yes one was from the rear), he took an exit in front of us and tried drifting around it. That's why I stated Scandinavian flick, if anyone watches Top Gear and saw Captain Slow learn that move.
I've been driving since I was 12 and probably have more hours behind the wheel of a vehicle than most people who drive for pleasure or even to and from work each week.
From the age of 14-20 I drove for my family's trucking company under a farm endorsement. During the summer I averaged 110-120 hours a week, 7 days a week.
I have never caused an accident, I was rear ended once by a girl who had her license for one day. She was changing the songs on her ipod and didn't see my stopped in front of her. Even though it was her fault, I went to court to help her get it deferred and hoping she learned her lesson.
I did have one speeding ticket that I never denied, but it was deferred. Speed change in the mountains headed to Chelan on a downhill. Dropped 5mph, I didn't. They pulled over at least 10 cars at the same time there.
On giving Porsche owners a bad name, I'm the guy that refuses to race people from light to light, I think that makes more people mad than actually beating them.
I give 90+ year olds, that are on hospice, rides in my car weekly. The smiles on their faces are priceless, wish you could see it.
I'm honestly not trying to justify myself to you, this thread's intention was just to talk about my close calls with tickets. The third one was ... well I have no idea. Slow day at work I guess.
It's late and my wife is coming out of the store, have to go. Take care guys.

after i bought my first c2s, i was pulled over 4 times within the first 6 months alone. one time was deserved--i was speeding on the freeway. the other times, i was observing the speed limit perfectly, blending into the flow, and doing NOTHING wrong. i look very young, so i'm guessing they thought i was joyriding or playing real life gta(?) i consider this a nuisance tax on people who are successful. fight any tickets with your local neighborhood lawyer who specializes in these traffic cases. every metropolitan area has one and they are usually quite good and reasonably priced. i pay a flat fee and they take care of the rest.
I'm hesitant to get up on a soapbox here since I'm a noob, however, I will.
We're all big kids here and it doesn't sound like anyone is having a 'Fast and Furious' fantasy (which I see ALL the time on crowded roads). I was trailing a Boxster the other day and kept up for a while until he started making some cuts I couldn't/wouldn't match.
They weren't "unsafe" given the equipment and the crisp manner in which they were made.
Is it "ever" safe to take advantage of 'rolling chicanes'? Probably not. But, if that's the case, we should never exceed the posted limit--EVER and become one of those chicanes for soccer moms in their minivans who are doing 15 over while texting and digging for sippy cups.
But, if you do make that decision, can you offer your 911 up for sale here before it goes public so we can have dibs? No sense having one if you don't drop the reins every so often.

Uhmmm, I've been pulled over twice, and followed once after 5 blocks they made a U turn and went the other way, first time when I first bought it, the previous owner decided to keep his personalized plates and the second time for not having a front plates he though it was a brand new car LOL. This time I got a ticket...
