I'm not sure what you're asking but the sensors are attached to the pads and need to be unplugged from the pad in order to change the pads. You really don't need to change the sensors unless you got the brake wear warning light in which case that particular sensor needs to be changed.

yes; you can just cut off the plastic part at the end and then twist the two wires together (or else it will light up on your dash) and leave it hanging.

If you don't want the hanging wires you can remove the bulb in the dash.

As mentioned you can twist the ends together but why would you just change them? They are cheap.

Not all brake pads come with the sensor groove cut out on the pad. Its been awhile but I think I installed hawk pads and they didn't have the grooves precut.

Cut, solder, shrink wrap (epoxy lined stuff works great), zip tie. Less than five minutes a wheel. Super clean and sanitary, the fix will outlive the life of the car.

Never worry about the sensors again. Faster pad changes, no worries about having incompatible pads, one less piece of nanny garbage on my car.

Now if you never take your own wheels off and glance at your inside pads to check wear, go ahead and keep the idiot light...

I just pulled the sensor out of the pads and zip tied it to the control arm.
