Exclamation 996 3.8L Stroker motors apparently available!!!

In my quest to find a true HP & torque increase in my 2002 I'd been on the phone with every SC'ing company from EVO, TPC, to RUF and also engine builders (which seem to be few and far between for the newer M96 motors)
...I had a half an hour conversation with a tech/sales person (Roy) for the company Motor Meister, a company out in CA which specializes in rebuilding porsche motors ( http://www.motormeister.com/ ), he stated his company offers and had been performing 3.8 L strokers packages complete with replacing the stock aluminum liners with stronger steel cylinder liners, porting and polishing the heads and intake manifold for $9,995 ! Has anybody performed something like this by this or any other company yet ?? He went on to say a 40-50 HP increase with a significant increase in torque throughout the rev band is had. It all sounded quite interesting, particularly at that price, could this be an option for higher mileage cars in the future off warranty?? He also went on to say forged pistons in the compression ratio of your choice can be had with the build (which makes this an extremely attractive option to those who may look to do the build for a higher boost power adder; F/I)

You can find quite a bit about people's experience with Motormeister on the Pelican Parts web site.

Yeah, let's just say that their background as engine builders & honest business people is very questionable.

We have been playing around with a few engines in the 3.7 and 3.8 configurations. Nothing available for the public yet ,, But soon ... Will keep all posted once testing is complete and we can offer something..

I can tell you this much,, It will be MORE than $9995.00 .... Cant say about the other Co's package ,, have no experiance with them ..

I would do your homework before you buy....

I like the fact that they apparently sell rebuild kits for the m96 engine, that's a first.
Looks like a pretty descent machine shop operation to me, don't be so qiuck to judge. I've rebuilt tons of motors (street and racing) in my time, these guys look legit to me. Just a matter of time until somebody dove into these m96 black boxes.

C4S...Go read the past history on Rennlist & Pelican. Those of us who own older 911's know alot about Motor Shiester (I couldn't resist!) Nobody is being quick to judge...If you see some of the crap that they've pulled I don't think you would be so quick to send your car into their care (or lack of it).

They're crooks...

BTW, isn't the real problem that Porsche won't make many of the parts available to engine rebuilders? I think the M96 is bit of a mystery box because of Porsche's position on replacement parts. If you can't get the parts to re-assemble the engine how much time are shops going to devote to analyzing it?

Fabryce, I am extremely interested in this possible 3.7-3.8 L package you speak of....how realistic is this?? How much in terms of power and price (rough estimates) ? I know of at least three individuals who'd be ready today** Awaiting your responce, thanks!
