C4S Cabriolet vs. Spyder Cambiocorsa

Well, in light of a couple very positive events for my family and some success of mine, my dad has decided to give me a very generous vehicle upgrade. I currently drive a Nissan 350Z (if you couldn't guess..), and am trying to choose between a Porsche C4S Cabriolet or a Maserati Spyder Cambiocorsa. I threw the SL 500 out of the mix because too many people have Mercedes and I want to be a little different. I'm sure there's bias here, but would anyone be kind enough to give me a little decision help??

Thanks!

- Travis

C4S Hands down, I am a big fan of Italian sports cars and design but not one bit of that Maserati, they can keep it IMO.

If you pick the Spyder, make sure you buy it used!

IMO, the car looks stubby and is not very good looking.

You came to P-car board. I would choose Spyder, only if it was 360 and made by Ferrari

haha, unfortunately that would be as close as I could get to my own Ferarri. Dad's got a 360 though...

I was leanin' towards the Porsche...

I don't know why, but I guess I just needed to hear a couple people say it.

Now, what color....

Travis,
Having a C4 conv I am a bit bias, but go to a Maserati board and post the same question. Or try a Ferrari board, the car is, afterall, made by the boys in Modena....
Then go test drive both of them...

Thumbs up

Decisions, decisions.
Tough for a young man like yourself.
Drive each one twice, then decide.

I agree. Drive them, then decide. Although I might suggest driving a C2 Cab too, since the AWD may feel different. My dealer has a beautiful C2 Cab in Carmon Red with sport exhaust. Yum!

IMHO: Having driven a Spyder Cambio with intent to buy, I walked away. My Carrera is way more fun. The only 2 things it had on my car were 1) soft top; and 2) exhaust note. Well I can cure the sounds with PSE and the soft top was a personal choice. Otherwise, it just lacked personality.

I almost got the Mazdarati

I actually test drove the cambiocorsa....drove very nice but I'm sure it would be very expensive to upkeep. I would go for the Porsche. It is a "real life" car that an above average person can afford to drive everyday. AND the Cambiocorsa does not look exotic from the outside. People could easily mistake it for an American car.

I saw one at the track recently. It looked like a giant whale. It was so heavy and sloshing from side to side.
Just plain horrible. I'd never want one.

wow, you guys are helping make this really easy. i do love the maserati interior though...

Think I'm just gonna go with Artic Silver/black interior, Turbo look wheels, and then put in the Alpine receiver I have in my Z right now.
