C4S Cab window problem...need help, please.

On my C4S Cab, the windows had been going down a bit when the door is opened in order to clear the window seal at the top. Now the drivers door automatically goes down only once when the car is initially turned off, and raises when the door is shut. After that, the window only auto lowers when the handle is pulled open, otherwise the glass is fully up and closes against the outside of the top. Have to close the door with the door handle pulled, or from the inside, inserting the key and lowering the window some before shutting it.

A real pain!

Anyone had something like this happen? Would it be in the brains of the car or in some switches in the door?

Thanks!

Sounds like a microswitch in the door. It's a common problem. Window regulators also fail with some regularity, but that doesn't sound like your issue based on your description.

I putting her up on the rack today...it's a tinkering with the cars day; to dang cold and nasty to do anything outside. Besides fixing the cat rattle, I'll pop the door panel off and see it there's anything obvious. If I can locate the switches, hopefully I can test them and narrow down the problem.

Thanks for the direction!!

Cheers!
